LL Bean, US outdoor co, donates $3m to national parks programme

LL Bean wants you to get out and explore the great American landscape. 

Leading outdoor equipment and clothing specialists, LL Bean, announced that they are donating $3m to a national parks programme in the US.

The United States has over 400 national parks, all of which showcase the diverse natural beauty which can be found within the country.

As reported in Press Herald:

‘The Freeport company is making the donation to the National Park Foundation, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service.

The money will be used to support the foundation’s Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque movement, according to a news release from L.L. Bean.

The Find Your Park campaign aims to inspire people of all backgrounds and abilities, including outdoor enthusiasts and novices, to discover and share their connections to America’s national parks.’

US National Parks have seen a steady rise in visitors over recent years. The last two years have seen an annual attendance of over 330 million. The investment by LL Bean comes as great news for the Parks service and wildlife lovers everywhere.
