This 1000 person cover band may be the best of all time

A hard rock cover band of over 1000 musicians got together in Italy for the biggest jam session the world has ever seen.

Italy’s Rockin’ 1000 made international headlines when their cover of Foo Fighters Learning to Fly went viral. The performance was a bid to get the band to play in the small town of Cesena and it worked. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl even made a personalised thank you video in response.

Over the weekend the self proclaimed ‘biggest rock band on earth‘ staged an event called ‘That’s Live‘ at Orogel Stadium in Cesena, Italy. During the show they treated the crowd to a range of exciting covers from artists such as The White Stripes, Nirvana and David Bowie.

And for good measure, here’s that wonderful Learning to Fly cover one more time.
