Coldplay go Back to the Future with Michael J Fox

Coldplay took to the stage with Marty McFly himself (Michael J Fox) at New Jersey‘s MetLife Stadium over the weekend.

The collaboration was inspired by a request from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s eldest son Moses, who requested that they play a song from his favourite movie; Back To The Future.

In the original movie, McFly and the school band play the doo-wop track Earth Angel (made famous by The Penguins), before tearing into a rip-roaring version of Chuck Berry’s Johnny B Goode.

In the footage, Michael J Fox gleefully reprises his role onstage with the English rockers.

Maybe we’re not quite ready for this; but our kids are gonna love it.
