1. Try new things
Louis C.K. has dabbled in all forms of entertainment. From writing to directing and standup to sitcoms, he’s done it all. One of the reasons for this is that is that he is always challenging himself by trying something new.
2. You can’t please everybody
He has certainly taken his fair share of knocks over the course of his career, but he hasn’t let that stop him.
3. Always try to improve
Louis C.K. is adamant that you can always bring something constructive out of a situation, even if it seems negative at first.
4. Don’t waste time
Louis C.K. cites when he had children as the turning point in his career, when he began to really focus on how he spent his time.
5. Get rid of your best weapons
Always reinvent yourself and don’t rest on your laurels is the key message here.
6. Survive failure
To not only survive it, but to embrace it as well.
