Humble Brush

Humble Brush and The Humble Co. are trying to change one of our most regular routines; brushing our teeth.

We covered Humble Brush before, as part of our Sustainable Gift Guide back in December, but we felt that the company was worthy of an individual product focus, so here we go.

First of all, it’s important to know of the range of projects which The Humble Co. are involved in. The company strives to encourage habit-changing activities throughout the world, ones which result in less waste and damage, both to the planet and individuals.

Noel Abdayem, The Humble Co’s CEO has an inspiring mission statement, in which he highlights and outlines the company’s goals.

“When we are lucky enough to be born in an affluent part of the world it should be our duty to take care of the less fortunate. Many children will never own any oral care products and we’re depleting natural resources and filling up the oceans with used products.

Can we change our ways of production and consumption? Can we help provide oral care products to those that need it most? The answer is yes!

As a dentist, The Humble Co. was founded to create products that are good for you and kind to our planet. Every Humble purchase goes towards funding projects for the benefit of children in need

Join the movement. Make the switch. Go Humble.” – Noel Abdayem, The Humble Co. CEO

The company, which is based in Sweden, was founded in 2013 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.

The company specialises in sustainable dental products, such as charcoal toothpaste, and these charming bamboo toothbrushes.

Plastic toothbrushes cause an unbelievable amount of plastic waste, which is an issue we cover regularly on My Good Planet. The Humble Brush is a biodegradable, sustainable option which offers the same protection and dental care as any plastic-based alternative. They’re pleasant to use and highly effective, leaving us wondering why we didn’t make the switch years ago! (NB: This MGP writer was so taken with them, that I picked up one for each member of my family!).

The Humble Co. also run the Humble Smile Foundation, a charity which aims to promote beneficial and attainable dental hygiene to developing countries or areas affected by adverse poverty. They now have operations all over the world, from India to South Africa and beyond.

So, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to highlight this wonderful company in a little more detail. Don’t just take our word for it though, give any of The Humble Co’s products a try, or simply check out their charitable work, and you won’t look back.

The future is sustainability, and the future begins with you.
