Star Wars cast and crew get Irish welcome

Star Wars made great use of Skellig Michael, a picturesque island off Ireland‘s Wild Atlantic Way last year and now they have returned to resume filming on the next segment of the beloved sci-fi saga.

They were also given a very Irish welcome, courtesy of a group of local schoolchildren who provided the musical accompaniment in anticipation of the shoot which will take place in Malin Head, Donegal later this year.

The kids from the Malin Head Afterschool’s Music Madness Squad are excitedly waiting the coming of their film idols and as a little treat, here’s something to keep you away from the Dark Side this Monday. May the Force be with you.

Teacher Caroline Glackin appears in the video – along with students Lauren McLaughlin, Mary-Kate Mullin, Eimear O’Doherty, Nicola Porteous, Michael Cormack, Daniel Mullin, Eoin Conaghan, Shauna McDaid, Sarah Grant, Keira McGeoghegan and Ciara Cormack.
